John Cotugno, Current Mayor of Vero Beach will review The Winter of Our Discontent by John Steinbeck
John brings over forty years of experience in the electronics industry, specializing in the semiconductor field. He served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Applications Engineering Operations at SHINKO Electric America Inc., a Fujitsu affiliate, until his retirement in 2018.
After retiring, John became a Public Policy Advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, representing the Vero Beach community at both state and federal levels. His dedication led to his appointment to the State Health Improvement Plan Committee (SHIP) in 2019.
In 2021, John was elected to the Vero Beach City Council, and in November 2022, his fellow council members selected him to serve as Mayor—a role he continues to fulfill.
In November 2025, John was elected to the Board of Directors of The Learning Alliance, where he actively participates on the Program Implementation and Marketing Committees.
John lives in Central Beach with his wife, Jan Williams, and their rescue dog, Roxie.
