Ms. Posey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She has over twenty-five years’ experience in behavioral health care, having worked in inpatient, residential and outpatient settings. She has a calling for ensuring that consumers with behavioral health needs in the get the best possible care available.
Ms. Posey has been an executive leader in several behavioral health agencies, including psychiatric hospitals, community mental health, child welfare and juvenile justice systems. She began working with the Behavioral Health Center at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in November 2017 and was promoted to the role of Regional Director of Behavioral Health in October 2021.
Program development and innovation is a passion for Ms. Posey. By championing and implementing tele-psychiatry across the Cleveland Clinic Florida region, she has allowed patients experiencing a mental health crisis to receive the quality care in a timely fashion. This has resulted in more use of the psychiatry consult service as well as better patient outcomes and satisfaction.
